Hey Mama Hey!
On this Thursday I am throwing it back to the very first event I hosted for Mama Fresh.
Mama and Me Yoga.
I stepped out on faith and hoped that there were other Mamas out there who wanted to bond with their babies and workout at the same time. Well, I was right and we filled the class up and it was amazing. So amazing that we did it again and it sold out, again. Then I took a pause. I knew I wanted to change the class up. Mamas of new babies needed something different from the Mamas of toddlers.
At the last Mama & Me Yoga event Q was just starting to walk and he was all over the place. The picture above was at the end of class when he decided to dump a container of (someone elses) puffs all over the ground. He then sat there and invited his other wild toddler friends over to have a impromptu picnic.
That is how I new we needed two sessions. This is the version of Mama & Me Yoga I have been dreaming about for months. I am so happy to partner with other women, Shea of Maroon Village and Erin of Buddha Belly Kids Yoga, who are going to help me bring this vision to our Mama Fresh community.
Mama Fresh Yoga March 11th 2018
10a-10:45- Mamas and Babies: 6weeks – PreWalkers
Instructor: Shea Gardner of Maroon Village
Mamas this class is all about you and connecting with your little one. This is all about Self Care, Healing & Connection. Our instructor Shea Gardner is a wife, mama, survivor and yogi. She is going to be our guide on this journey. Our goal is not to get you in the most complicated poses, it’s to help you find a calm space within where you can connect with your baby. Let the music of strong women like Erykah Badu and Solange remind you of the warrior you are. Our intention is for you to leave renewed. Mamas, this is a Sunday well spent.
11a-11:45- Buddha Belly Kids Yoga: Walkers-4yo
Bring me your wild walkers! The Buddha Belly Kids Yoga team pride themselves on honoring each kids unique energy. (Which is why spaces for this class are extremely limited). This class is like nothing I have taken before. It’s so interactive and encourages creativity and fun. Led by former teachers this class explores yoga through poses, movement, and play! Not only will we get our Namaste on but your toddler will also work on developmental skills. I am bringing Q to this class and I would love for you to join us.
